ROOM FEATURES:
Great sensitivity has been applied to the design to the 85 rooms. They are all deluxe bungalows, individually built high on timber poles, looking out through the canopy of trees. Each with air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans, private verandahs, IDD telephones, TV, minibar, tea and coffee, in room safes, DVD/CD players, full height wardrobe, generous draw space, hair dryers and the bathrooms have separate shower and bath. Room service and porterage will also be provided. Beautiful Australian timber and granite has been used throughout creating an ambience that is a reflection of the surrounding natural environment.

South of the village of Port Douglas.The story of the natural history of Australia is unique and Thala nurtures this environment. Grass Trees sprout along pathways, their scaly black trunks topped with tufted grassy headdresses, stunted reminders of a land long ago.
